Watasoge Building Log #1 — Wavetables

The model for creating the wavetables is the Eurorack module Plaits by Mutable Instruments.

I instructed Claude Code to look at the module's sources and implement a script for generating wavetables. In addition to the sounds generated following the Plaits model, I also had a collection of about 150 samples in WAV files that should also be converted into wavetables.

Claude Code also created a script for playing back the wavetables.

After the first round, the result was mostly dominated by clicks and pops. My complaint about this and another round of analysis and implementation then resulted in a set of 220 wavetables, some melodic sounds, some percussive.

The wavetables were then finally written into a C header file, which will subsequently be included in the firmware.
